I listend to the Song "Hog And Goat". Can You tell me what the song is about. Don Carlos sings "Me think a soldier come but a hog and goat" what does he mean?

I think what Don Carlos means is that he and his brethren were sitting at home playing and listening to music and smoking ganja, basically just chillin' out. All of a sudden they hear a noise outside, which they think is a soldier coming to arrest them for growing herb. However, the noise isn't a soldier. A hog and goat outside have made the noises. This is my take on this classsic reggae song. Let me know if I am interpreting it correctly. Peace.

yeah you are right. the funny thing about it seems that the hog & goat and the soldiers are making the same noises.
