hello everyone

anybody know anything about a song called 'the vibes' by barrington levy. i own the vinyl and if i didn't i'd say it didn't exist because there is no information at all about this 45. it's a soul song which is odd for levy. i would appreciate any information about the pressing, players, and value. it has a b-side which is okay, but the a-side 'the vibes' is a piece to absolutely die for, imagine, late late night at a closed club with a bottle of whiskey and a beautiful soul woman singing to you.

You should hear it performed live...I know that most the people at the show didn't appreciate like I did...but I agree, his heart & soul pours out when he delivers the vocal. Is it on a Jah Life or Life Time record label?

i would love to hear it live. levy was in los angeles playing reggae but i would love to hear some of his rarer stuff. i'm pretty sure it's on the life time label. will pull it out tonight and take a closer look! cheers

I recently heard it on a Japanese Mix Cd and was blown away !!

Hi all, the vinyl I have shows it's on the 'One Time' label and is titled "The Vibes". Maybe it was retitled and re-released? But Ras Andejo, you're right on. Just checked on Amazon for a sound clip and that's it. Yeah, just an amazing track. Thanks for the leads everyone. I'm gonna turn some other people onto this! J in Los Angeles
