just found this special album of culture with extended play mixes of hits like pyaka and production something. such great lyrics and fine dub riddims..cultures finest pieces in my view.

Correct it`s a fine set,but let`s not forget Culture`s "Frontline years(Cassette)a.k.a-Too Long In Slavery(CD) but must say that the cassette version has loads more of their best recordings on the Frontline Label! Then there`s "One Stone,Stoned[Dub],Good Things,Rare and Unreleased Dub(CD) and plus some rare and unreleased 12" and alternative versions from Revolver Label on Cassette...Lastly 15 Dub Shots and World Peace...

yes, Production Something is an excellent collection.
Very invigorating upful stuff. i have a real soft spot for Joseph Hill - the man was a powerhouse of righteous lyrics, heartical singing, beautiful melody - and with the right backing and production as on this collection Culture were unbeatable.
He is one of the handful of these great artists I would really liked to have met. Passionate, righteous, no pretence. The genuine article!

Baldhead Bridge has a few really good tracks on it too.
How Could I leave Jah is excellent - same riddim as Denis Brown's How Could I Leave - (different sessions) both great tracks.

'2 7s clash' is not my favourite by any means but certainly very listenable.
'More Culture' is good.
and for Dubs 'Culture in Dub: 15 Dub Shots'. Very nice indeed...

Much respect to Papa Culture - a truly good human being and mightily gifted artist...

do you think its jah thomas on track 3 , trod on? having heard much jah thomas over the years, it just doesnt sound like jah t to me

I think you have it figured out - but I don't really know Jah Thomas stuff otherwise...
