Perhaps you need cocaine in your brain to make sense of it lol

Yeah, I think the lyrics aren't supposed to make a whole lot of sense. They're supposed to be similar to the ramblings of someone high on cocaine. Having been around people who were on cocaine, I can attest that the song is accurate.

Ites!
fram Solid Foundation: An Oral History Of Reggae by David Katz:
Dillinger says: 'I used to be on the North Coast at the Playboy Hotel in Saint Mary where a lot of hippies used to hang out, and we used to jam in the moonlight. I used to watch them get high, and they sing, "I´ve got cocaine in my brain". So I get the inspiration from there'

This is an interview taken from the JAH WARRIOR Dillinger lp "Youthman Veteran" concerning the song "Cocaine in My Brain"...(its on the back cover)
"Cocaine in My Brain" ..well it just a vibration still like I say. I used to stay at the beach and I'd see tourists doing all kinda things, so it gave me the inspiration for that song. I see things happening, how people were behaving & taking all sorts of tablets and pills. Back then, cocaine wasn't widely exposed like it is now, it was for rich and famous, the average people in Jamaica were never exposed to it. And then I started traveling & I'd find myself in certain places where people were doing it. So like, I was there. The inspiration was there. But when I did it, I did take it for joke"....
