Cops kill man in Grants Pen

POLICE yesterday shot dead a man in the often volatile Grants Pen community in what they said was a shoot-out with three gunmen.

The dead man, they said, was identified only as "Gregory Isaacs", who lived in Grants Pen.

According to the police, a team from the Special Anti-Crime Task Force was in the area at about 12:15 pm when they heard gunshots.

The cops said they saw three men in a lane off Grants Pen Avenue who, when they saw the police, pulled handguns and opened fire.

The police said that in the ensuing shoot-out, one of the men was hit. The others escaped.

A Smith and Wesson pistol, its serial number erased, was allegedly taken from the man who was taken to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

OK Ron, for starters I can't imagine you deleting my post but if you did you will know what was posted, and if you didn't I can only repeat what I originally asked, and that was if anyone here was aware of any other persons using the name Gregory Isaacs, I'd like to hear about it.

Yeah, the guy who got shot in '03.
