Okay, this is about 'new' product, so kick this thread 'Off-Topic' if anybody is complaining.

In another thread I have just bemoaned the ignorance to releasing good instrumental reggae. But hey, suprise, there are two new albums available and both are coming real strong.

Here's the first one:

Personally, i find this is a real enjoyable set, no classic but highly entertaining and good for having some nice blues dance on some of the riddims.

The next one is even more crucial, here is the review from Ray Hurfords 'Small Axe':

Matic Horns - 400 Years - Sip A Cup

I cannot remember the last time anyone put out a horns album!!! Instrumental sets are so rare - you would think it was illegal to produce them. Thankfully Gussie P - does not think about such things and so here it is. And its a truly a great set. For fans of rhythms - there are so big big rhythms here - but they are not recut in the traditional style - every track as got a edge to it in some way. The Matic Horns have been around a long long time. And you think that they would have an album before this set, but I think this could be their debut album. Its so great to hear them. Some of the UK's finest horn players working together - hopefully this will be successful enough for more albums to come. Gussie should be given some kind of medal for releasing this set!!!

Matic Horns is Mr. Henry 'Buttons' Tenyue.

For all of you who like some rootsy and dubby instrumental music, go and get these albums, both recommended, but especially the Matic Horns set.

I bet the Matic Horns album is great. You're right about Gussie P. He probably deserves medal, certificate and award. ;-)

Who can ID the source of those lyrics I just stole?
