Just stopped by jammyland the other day to find that it has sadly closed down. Where there was once racks of vinyl lay cold cd's of hardcore and punk music. Does anyone know if they are actually going to open a new store in NYC like their website says? new yorkers where should I go as an alternative?

I've seen thier stock for sale on Ebay...check there for now.
Also...Reuben from Trade Roots reggae (San Diego) told me amonths ago about Jammyland closing down. He said that he would have a lot of thier stock shipped to him for sale on consignment at his store. I don't knoiw what all he has put out for sale but Go to his store off of Adams Ave., North PArk, California to check that out.

JammyLand closed down in the Spring..
I purchased some lps on consignment and for the shop (Trade Roots reggae 3535 Adams Ave San Diego,CA 92116 619-546-6194)..
Some of the 12"'s I purchased are peculiar.. (some in sad shape after hearing how great the quality was.. I even got a couple of potato chips included in some of the vinyl..grease stains and all)
As for Reggae shops in New York, the last time I was there, I ransacked Bleecker Bob's on Bleecker St. (they mainly carry punk but punkers alwayz love good dub/reggae), so I did manage a couple of On-U Sounds picks for dirt cheap...
Try and contact Deadly Dragon Sound.. They pretty much run NYC now..
Let luv lead tha way...

The ones with potato chips should cost extra...That's like dinner and a show all in one...Ha ha ha.
Sorry I could not provide an address above, I stil cannot find the updated info anywhere online-But I'm just trying to send people to your shop!
Yo Reuben, I'll most likely see you this weekend as I should be spinning and singing along with Irie Lion Hi-Fi Family. And of course you know that I'll be bringing some essential & Crucial late 70's & early 80's 12" Disco steppers pieces -dedicated to Trade Roots & Blackheart Warriors! LAter Bro. aDAm
