Does anyone know how i would go about making album covers for reggae records?
I am interested in designing covers for re releases or vintage releases for smaller labels.
I think covers these days (on smaller labels) for re releases could be so much better and increase sales if there was vintage looking art.
If anyone has any info that would be great.

If you ask on how to actually create them then there's several ways. The easiest would be by using Photoshop and basically just put together pictures with text. Others do most of the cover art outside of the computer and then just compile the art with the text in programs such as photoshop, illustrator or InDesign.

If your question is how to get in contact with record companies so they can release albums with you doing the cover art for them then it's simply a matter of sending them a portfolio and asking them for work.

would i get ahold of the labels from info printed on the back of covers?
