i feel it was recorded at the black ark, then mixed @ King Tubby's studio by Prince Jammy's. it has that phaser shift sound to it, that i've heard on countless records mixed at Tubbys.

There's no mention of Lee Perry or Black Ark on the label. Matrix no. on runoff is DSR7594 - A A PABLO. To my knowledge Hugh Mundell (Jah Levi), who does the toast after JD's vocal, had never recorded at Black Art studio.

Sounds very much like a Black Ark riddim to me, but have no sure information. Hugh Mundell has at least voiced two songs on Black Ark riddims, being "Why Do Black Man Fuss & Fight" and "Let's All Unite". Do not know, if these were recorded elsewhere, but riddims are definitely Black Ark.

wrong. Mundell recorded (as well as Pablo ) several tunes at the black..
for Example: 'Let All Unite', 'Africa Must Be Free By 1983' ' and 'Why Do Black Men Fuss And Fight'

@Kool Roots (Breeze):
Mundell recorded two songs only. And as 'look' mentioned I don't know if he actually recorded them in the Black Ark or merely used the masters: "Let's All Unite" and "Why Do Black Man Fuss & Fight".
About "Away With Your Fussing And Fighting":
I can understand people think this could be a Black Ark recording as well. There's a certain feel about it; the drum part, the keyboard, phaser. But still, I say it's a "No".

I would also say no. It has similarities but I don't think it's Black Ark. Only an opinion

Well all thanks for answering. Was hoping somebody knew it for sure. But I guess there are some songs that always will be discussed whether yes or not recorded in the black ark. This is one of them. I stand with Dudley.
On the other hand it isnt important the song is great and that is what really matters.

I know I'm not all knowing, but this song doesn't even make it onto my 'dubious' section on my Upsetter site. Says enough for me it does.
Yes, on the other hand, it is a great song!!
