What is the exact meaning of the *black rose*...
"Black roses in Jah garden"... etc...
Barrington sings it, Prince Alla, Natural Ites...There is a Can label with this name too...

I already had this discussion with friends. One told me it refers to black woman, black beauty, that must be watered each day, etc. Now it sounds obvious to me but there might be other explanations.

Rare beauty, or a very intimate love, perhaps. It could also be a challenge to the negative western connotations associated with the color black.
