No, it's not any good - IT'S EXCELLENT!
This is one of my all-time favourite Minott AND Wackies LPs.
It manages to mix the best of all the great elements of Minott's work.
His voice is simply sublime on this album.
The massive cross-over smash hit - 'Good Thing Going' leads the lovers rock tip. But while that might be his best known lovers tune, 'She stays on my mind' is classic Minott at his most soulful. His voice on this track is and 'Think it Over' will raise the hairs on the back of your neck.
If you're feeling in a roots mood Sugar caters for you with 'Freedom Train' and the title track 'Wicked a go feel it' .
LPs are often a selection of great tracks padded out with some filler. Not this one, there's not a single track on it that can't stand alone on its own merit.
It's now available as re-release, on LP or CD.
If you're a fan of this great artists work and whether you go for the original on vinyl, or even a later cut, you'll be listening to Sugar at his sweetest.
