Blackstones are a sweet four man harmony group. They put out a lot of lovers rock reggae tunes as well as some more rootsy songs. the Live and Love 12" called "jealousy" is one of my favorites. There are several full LP's as well. One of them is called "colors of love", it is a blackstones production on the Body music record label. I also have a b;ackstones 12" on the golden star record label called "She's special" with version on the flip. It is a Mafia and Fluxy production. another is a 7" called "I can't fool myself" on a Kickin Productions record label. I believe Jazwad backed them up on this one. To record a full-length album by the Blackstones was one of the last things Coxsone Dodd did in his lifetime. It was the first time he recorded an english group and the results can be heard on the very very thrilling 'Tribute to Studio One' album released last year on Studio One label. Great stuff !
