It is almost midnight here in Australia.
What are you looking forward to in 09 ?
I am hoping the Aussie dollar gets back on par with the Yen
so I can keep getting albums from Dub Store Tokyo !!

oh, and world peace.

i hope to get a collection or two, otherwise than that some exclusives.

i wait for the U Roy "Foundation skank" set.

i don't expect too much from the next Niney release on North parade, but i'll check it.

i also don't ecpect too much from the next pressure sounds release, but i will buy it for better sound quality.

and i hope for the return of blood&fire.

Almost the same thing as Leggo but i'm a step ahead...
I co-host a reggae show, the host seems to be there by mistake. I'm looking forward to doing it all alone, probably 4 months from now... too far!!!

On the reggae front, I'm looking forward to more re-issues or re-pressings. I've managed in recent years to replace worn out, damaged, lost or stolen vinyl, and more of the same would be great.

On the personal front, a hip replacement, its been a pain in the arse (literally) since a I had a sports injury in my late teens, which probably buggered up my illustrious career as a pro footballer. I'm now in my late 40s and the specialist has finally agreed that my current hip is sufficiently worn out to warrant a new one. Its probably a bit like some of my vinyl!

To be able to pick up a newspaper and find an article to put a smile on my face.

2008 seems to have been a totally depressing year and this one dont look like its going to be much better.

Thank god for good music with which to lose myself.

Oh and a nice long hot summer and also to see us English whack the Aussies in the Ashes (sorry selecta bing).

My wishlist for 2009:

- Firehouse Revolution, Pt. II on Pressure Sounds
- More reggae legends to tour Japan
- Unreleased Black Ark-period works from LSP to be released

- peace in the middle east (and of course all over the world)
- end of the financial crisis
- a beautiful sommer
- and some nice nice releases..
