I'm currently listening to *Colourmans* excellent debut album Cool Profile (but not as good as his follow up!) and was a bit perplexed on who *Super Bubble Rock* might be. Rather ... I'm quite certain Super Bubble Rock is the same as *Eric Bubbles* (of the legendary *African Brothers*) and I'm more or less seeking for someone to tell me if I'm right or if I'm wrong.

Cool Profile was released on **Connection Records** with productions credits to Super Bubble Rock. The only other album I've seen released on Connection is *Lady Ann*'s self titled set which is produced by Eric Bubbles. I just recently noticed on a Youtube clip with the song »Fussy« from Lady Ann's Connection album that is also has credits to Super Bubble Rock (even though she herself, on her MySpace page, states that the producer is Eric Bubbles).

So ... are Eric Bubbles and Super Bubble Rock (the coolest name ever!!!) the same?

Your intuition is correct, they are indeed one in same.

I know the "Kick Up Rumpus" LP quite well, and really like it, but I don't have this one.

Thank you, Dave! Would have loved to hear more from Eric Bubbles over these rhythms. Could make a great set I think.

Hmmmm ... just realised that the song credits on the album actually actually are credited to a D. Howard. Since Derrick Howard is Eric Bubbles real name I could probably have figured it out without starting this thread.

Hopefully it was a help to someone else than just me.
