Hi,
Can anyone tell me about his rastafari Bible release on Patate Label.
I have the other releases on this label but am not familiar with this album or his work in general.
Is this release upto the same quality as the other release on this lable, ie the U Brown, Rod Taylor and earl Sixteen releases.
Thanks
Morris

Not as good as the other 3 albums you listed, but definately worth checking.
Question, why has the Patate label only 5 releases. The 5 releases are all great in respect of music, sound quality and packaging and are at least the equal of many of the Pressure Sounds / Blood and Fire releases.
Anyone recommend any other titles in this vein from other labels.
Respect
Dave

I saw this post by accident, give thanks.
just last week the Prince Hammer lp
can be downloaded at this site totally free at hearwax.blogspot.....
grab it before its gone.
also check out (distinctly jamaican sounds) for a fishnet load of roots reggae and the mother load of downloads (schrikdraad)
put this in your search engine and grab it while you can. last but not least if you want the new three volume studio one set go to the
CAESAR TJALBO web page for the skatalites, jackie mito and a host of others.
"pass the reggae pon the left hand side".
share this info spread the vibes.

The Patates CD is fine for sure. A good introduction to Prince Hammer. i think there are tune from Bible LP and some later works.
Regarding this comp: "Africa Iron Gate Showcase LP", I don't remenber it as a really good LP. Nothing special IMO. There is a good tune pon de Give Me The Right riddim, the Enos McLeod tune is nice but far from the best tunes on his "By The Look In Your Eyes" LP and the Echo Minott tune on A side is also nice...
There is a very good LP that is not mentionned here: "Vengeance". A really good LP for all person who rate the early Sherwood production.

Personally I think that »Africa Iron Gate Showcase« is a strictly killer LP! If anyone has one for sale or trade PM me and we maybe can sort something out.

Kalcidis, I disagree with you (no problem a question of taste) but I won't sell or trade my copy. Very sorry.
