germany reggae happenings?

sorry, i posted this in the off topic forum but i don't know how many people read that forum as opposed to here
tomorrow i am headed to stuttgart/pforzheim area for 3 weeks with not a clue about what to expect as far as scene.
i'll be able to head over the border into france and switz.
i don't speak german but a little french and lots of english slang.
any recommended night life venues/record shops/cafes where people like us might enjoy hanging around?

If you have no problem heading into Switzerland don't miss Geneva Dub Club with Cultural Warriors and Russ D. on 31.01.
On the same day there is also I&I Dubwise feat. Brother Culture @ Kranhalle/Feierwerk in Munich.
But best event on this day will be Dub Academy where 3 German roots soundsystem each with their own set(!) will meet in one Inity. Unfortunately for you this event is in the north of Germany, in Hamburg.

i might head to munich on the 31st for that show
there is also a gig in pforzheim on 2/7 at salt n pepper but i dunno if it will be any good?

That depends on what kind of reggae you're into. Myself I wouldn't go as that one is Soundquake and it's just the usual dancehall business, juggling selection, no versions, slackness and a lot of shouting. Not my cup of tea.
Even the one in Munich is not pure Reggae I think. I&I DubWise is good, but they are meeting with a Dubstep Crew and it's advertised as Dubstep meets Steppas Dubs.
