Can someone help me?
I've been looking for this old Reggae cut from a 45 I used to own around 1985 or 1986. I thought the title was "Come inna di dance", but all my search for that title come up empty. Some of the lyrics go ..."Come inna di dance ..... gonna gee di people dem big problem, step inna di dance....Come in the area talk 'bout him a super....buy one beer fill it up with water.
I know it sketchy, but thats all I can remember.
Thanks in advance.

Whats going on here? the guy is only asking for a tune id, RA has many users that know a lot about 85+ tunes so this is a valid question.

Welcome to the forum frederick.

Im not near my records at the moment, obviously theres the cut by barrington levi of this but its most likely more obscure then that one.

Most Jamiacan popular music has it roots in the dancehall, but the term "Dancehall" is usally applied to a particular strain of Jamaican pop music that started around 1978, and got very popular in the 1980's / 90's.

These labels are pretty aritrary to begin with, so it's easier just to think of JA music as a continuum with lots of variety. There are no real defining events as to when certain eras begam and ended, it's all subject to opinion and interpretation.
