2 What is his wife's [common law ?] name.
3 Has he ever travelled abroad ? with or without his soundsystem.
4 Are there any pictures of his family ??
5 How long did he have his second sound sytem for, after the police had destroyed it from earlier before. i had read about this information years ago somewhere.

He drank Heineken and liked jazz. That's all I know!

To many Jamaicans Heineken IS beer!
On a few occasions I have been asked if I would like a Heineken and then receive some other completely different kind of beer.
From the reading I've done I really only picked up a few details that tell something of the man, Osborne Ruddock.
He always dressed neatly, wore a pressed shirt, always had clean shoes. Was always polite and generous to others.
Really highly regarded by all producers, musicians, singers that worked with him.
I can't even think of anything else!
He always looks kind of shy in the few pictures I've seen of him - a real behind the scenes operator.
A really difficult subject for a biography I'd say!
Good luck with getting answers...curious to know if anyone has some interesting.
Do we ever even hear his voice on any recordings?

From what I know he was also an extremely humble man who has a very generous nature and often helped out a fellow brother enduring hardships.
He quite often would mix records for producers on a pay me when you can basis and, as you all know, was highly respected by everyone involved in the jamaican reggae music industry.
He was a very private man who and as far as I am aware never left Jamaica always choosing to stay a yard dispite many offers to go to America, UK and Canada.

Preferred fixing TV's and VCR's as opposed to mixing tunes as told to me by a couple friends of his that hung out in the shop. Come to think of it, one of them has this futuristic all-in-one TV/VCR/speaker combo he says Tubby made for him. I'll see if I can take pictures next time I'm by.

His nickname stemmed from Tubman, his mother's maiden name.
He had a brother called Scuner who was a singer in the Jays.

All i know that his family will keep it private just like Tubby did in his life time.
I&I have to respect that.
All we have is the story's from singers & players and producers.

I have read quite a lot of stuff about Reggae music and history and I don't recall ever coming across an interview with King Tubby. Doesn't man there isn't one or more. I'd certainly be interested in learning more about the man...
