I have a few of these titles, and Ernie's has them now really cheap. I have grown wary though since I've heard so much about them being recent remixes, etc. . . Anybody have any info, suggestions on this? I'm especially tempted by the Tappa Zukie titles, has anyone heard these?
Thanks!

Dubbing it Studio 1 Style is pretty good - the Aggrovators playing S1 riddims for Cornell Campbell, Johnny Clarke, Delroy Wilson and more. Sounds like vintage recordings - but alternate mixes or takes not released at the time.

I must say the new Zukie lp they've put out was pretty good to me, but i'm still not impressed by their past output. [Horns Up] lp

It doesn't matter if the music is good or bad. Thats not the point why some people avoid Jamaican Recordings.
Listen for example "Rare Dubs" by Augustus Pablo. If you have good ears you will notice it isn't by Augustus Pablo... although its credited to him. This goes same for everything that this label releases. You see?

they haven't been up to par with anything that is really worth listening too, but good is good and bad is really bad.

"ultimately that is exactly what matters."
I get your point... maybe I said inna strange way.
I just meant that isn't the reason why some people don't listen to that stuff.
