If my memory serves me right, this is a Lee Perry
produced side with vocals by Bunny Rugs.
Bunny later went on to front Third World.

Original release by William DeVaughn.

Three good instrumental versions from Studio 1 main man Jackie Mittoo -

A Big Car Part (Part 1)
A Big Car Part (Part 2)
Be Thankful

Further to my first reply,it is actually credited to Bunny Clarke although this is Bunny Rugs.
The dub was called Dubbing in the backseat.

Also "Be Thankful for What You Got" by One Blood , a UK reggae version on "Hustle! Reggae Disco" compilation on Soul Jazz.

You also have to hear the beautiful version of Jackie Mittoo's "Big car" that Sugar Minott did ("Love and Understanding", I think it's called) on "Studio One Disco Mix", again on Soul Jazz.
