Have the following (poor quality) recordings and would like to identify the artists so that I can download decent quality versions for a party night where they will be played over a decent sound system.
1)

2)

I know that I have that version of soul rebel on vinyl somewhere but cannot think who it is by.
Many thanks as always

Hi Toucan,
The first one (track 13) is Junior Ross & The Spears "Judgement time" [

instead of getting illegal and crappy quality downloads
support the artists by buying a good quality record

it will sound much better over a 'decent' soundsystem

Who mentioned illegal downloads?
For the last 38 years I have been buying records and then cd's. Of late I have subscribed to emusic (amongst others) and always pay for the right to enjoy other peoples work.
I suggest that you don't make accusations like that, especially when you don't even have a hint of evidence.
If I do find something I like on the net then I will buy a good quality copy, hence my question.

And I suggest the Blood & Fire release of the Junior Ross/Prince Alla if you're going to purchase.
