Hugh Mundell - Arise

Is this any good? I figure since it was recorded partly in Paris it may be kinda soft and/or pop-ish. Any opinions ?

If you ask me I really love that album. Mundell's Voice is gorgeous although that album has only 5 vocal cuts and the rest is instrumental.

Its in part digital (light) but its maybe the album where Hugh is at his best for me, the good songs are simply murderers, cause of the sound its not my fav'... Sure that the style have more pop tastes but its still roots and strong!

for me it's from far the less good album but some nice songs are featured.

well I think Arise offers a Hugh Mundell with his best vocal appereance ever although the riddims are little bit soft. Hugh Mundell does a killer job on that album

Arise is quite good, like someone said it might be a little more on the pop side, but its still rootsy.
I'm a bigger fan of the year prior's "Mundell" ('82). Junjo on production w/Roots Radics = lethal combo.

itz ok but itz better to get his other albums first rather than this one
although its has many good songs
i always feel like it is an incomplete album
that he was workin on
