I really can`t understand why people are paying silly money £50, £100 + on records from the 60`s, 70`s, and 80`s that to me are unplayable with crackles and hissing right through, like a rizla paper being scrunched in ones ear.

Is it because it`s so rare you never see it again!! But mostly it`s tunes that come up quite a lot. I`m not just talking about sitting on the dock of the bay wasting time and money, but a lot of secondhand shops/sellers seem to grade things somewhat different than others. If I played one of these crispy records it would stand out like a sore thumb played with my selection. Even ten years ago in a secondhand record shop, the buyer would say `I wouldn`t even give you £2 for that bad condition £100 you want for that tune`. Does that mean a EX+ would be 3 or 4 times that price!! But it`s also the publics fault for for buying them in bad condition.

Several thing: some buyer can put lot of money; second: here is the time of internet, many people in this place. This the story of the offer and the demand: the prices increase. I agree with you i've paid an original disc in bad codnition. Finally i've found a second original still sealed for the half price. We have to be patient.
