In ASHES..he says

Hello Mr Coxsone
I am the rock stone

I am the balancer
and I don't give you cancer
I don't want my head to be bald like Bob Marley
( refering to Bob's hair loss during his illness )

Buy the power invested in I
I conquer Chris Blackwell

damn thanks man, do you know when the song was exactly recorded..I guess the riddim was recorded 1979 or something but the lyrics especially the bob marley lines must be around 1981 I guess..

"Ashes And Dust" was recorded at Channel One in the late 1980s (the vocals, not the "Vibrate On" rhythm track). Scratch also sings about Bob (but mainly Chris Blackwell) in "Judgement Ina Babylon" ("...he gave Bob Marley cancer / Couldn't find the answer...")

late 80ies you say? when did channel one close the gates? I heard that it closed around the mid or late eighties because of the digital era..is it true?

Yeah, late 80's, 1988... Productions were quite mellow at the end... For sure digital music was part of the reason, but Hookim's bros were fed up and had all left the studio... And violence around the place had increased up to an uncontrolable level...
That's what I remember...
