slengteng, explain yourself please.
I know his work and can't agree with you. if he was one of the best rappers then he would have come out with positive words & attitude but he did not do that. How come he got shot several times and even shot dead ... I wish the best for the ones he has left behind and the last thing i wanna do is talk shit about a dead person but 2 Pac was a rapper but not one of the best.

I think if he was a true Rasta, he would have made some better music than what he put out. TO MUCH gun talk. Kill this and that. They way he died is a perfect example of what he was. BALDHEAD!!!

That said i think 2Pac is just another example for the record industries ability to milk dead cows a lot better than living ones.
And one last word concerning his music: it's all personal taste - to me it's not champions league.

Interesting post...seems to me like a lot of people get caught up on 2pacs murder and lifestyle, and don't see the message in a lot of his music. He spoke about similar struggles and corrupt systems as many reggae artists once did. Not everything he talked about was badman ting...
i'd love to see the block in peace,
with no more dealers and crooked cops,
the only way to stop the beast,
and only we can change,
it's up to us to change the streets,
it aint the same,
too many murders, too many funerals and too many tears,
just seen another brother buried,
plus i knew him for years,
passed by his family but what could i say?
keep yo head up and try to keep the faith
and pray for better days,

It's not just about content. His style , delivery and music were tired and boring.
