Tapes of old soundclashes?

Apparently there's a tape of a King Tubby's Hometown Hi-Fi clash from '75 available for sale on the web.
I'm also astonished by the number of Jack Ruby Hi-Power tapes that seem to still be around (according to that list). So my question is, what sort of quality should one expect from these tapes? And are they legit?

http://whocorkthedance.com/ here you can find a lot of old sound tapes available for free download. The King Tubby's session is there too. The quality is as you can expect, not too good. But I have actually come across a few that sounded really nice as well. Regardless of sound quality I find these recordings highly enjoyable.

Most of these are freely traded. One (nasty) thing about soundtapes converted to CD is that the majority of tapes are 90 minutes (sometimes 100 minutes). A CD-R only holds 80 minutes, so there is editing done to make them fit.
Who Cork The Dance is a great resource, not only because the share the music, but they provide a historical context. Big up the WCTD massive!

Whocorkthedance looks very nice! I've known it for long but for some strange reason I've never really used it. But that I'll change now!
What are you're favorite tapes on the site? Most importantly in terms of sound quality, but also of selection and deejaying...
It's difficult to know where to begin

Check the Uglyman-tape from Grange hill (where Uglyman really sounds like Colourman). Really great tape!

Geoffrey, that was one of the first I downloaded. You're right, anything King Tubby is obviously a must, but I think the quality is too poor to actually listen to :-/
A soundtape-newbie as I am, maybe I'm too sensitive..
Thanks for the tip though.
The Ruby's from Grange is awesome. I've also listened quite a bit to Gemini's Hi-Fi from Skateland '82. It's the last part of mix 2 (
