Good? Bad? Okay?
I liked Colombia Colly and that Double Helping comp. (despite the awful sound quality - someone should remaster that)...

there is one real good track, where he explains the alphabet, but it stops before the alphabet is completed .... would like to hear a complete version.

So, I got this album on CD.
It's not quite what I was expecting. JL sings (as opposed to toasting) on about half of the tracks. He's actually got a nice croon on him. His version of the Rastaman Chant (Wipe the Weeping Eyes) is superb.
The production is a lot more raw and less 'dense' than that on 'Colombia Colly'. Has the same rough, 'low budget' feel to it that 'Soldier Round The Corner' does (in fact, there's what sounds like an alt. mix of the title track from SRTC on this one).
Just FYI, informer - the alphabet track (no idea why it's called 'Fiend Victim') is incomplete on the CD version too. Is there actually a full version out there? Or did JL just get 2/3 of the way through, run out of ideas and decide to leave it there because it sounded alright to him (it does sound to me as though he's ad-libbing it)?
