Did Keith Hudson ever use Black Ark?

For example "Flesh Of My Skin" sounds like the famous Black Ark organ. Also in the tune called "Bloody Eyes" theres drums and organ that sound like Black Ark....

Only if he would be alive we could ask him.

"Flesh Of My Skin Blood Of My Blood" was in part recorded in London. Not in the Black Ark, AFAIK.

What I'm curious about is how did Hudson get hold of the "Beat Down Babylon" rhythm for "Tribal War" by U Roy Junior.

so many riddims changed hands at those days. perry probably owed hudson money and paid him with a tape, or just gave/sold/lend out the riddim as a favour.

... I'm Getting Wild is by some considered a good candidate, more for the percussive sounds than the wannabee organ; i'm not convinced tbh ... the dub may even give us a clue why there isnt more Hudson@Ark around ...
judge for yourself: hear [>>](http://drop.io/coxzone/asset/gringo-mp3) the bside of I'm Getting Wild on Tell A Tale 7" ...

Is that Lee Perry making some Kung Fu shouts. Theres a slight resemblance to "Flames Of Dragon"... (IMO that organ sounds like the Black ark thing and theres also that same percussion used as in "Obserb Life").

Some early Lee Perry /Black Ark productions don't use organ at all, is actually a Rhodes type of electric piano "bubbling" (shuffling). Which is a very typical of the London studios at the time. Lee Perry bought equipment from London since the late 60s.
Also, he used the Clavinet (very trendy in those years 72-75) as a piano or even as the organ shuffle. Another London innovation (in Reggae)that Wailers took to Jamaica.

Later, Black Ark had other organ, like the orange Vox and whatever the keyboard players were bringing with them, but no Hammond (?).

Is that what you mean by "Black Ark organ sound"?

isnt that a clavinet on "darkness in the city" and "curly locks"..among many others?
