NIGHTDOCTOR....Who knows about this (great) little known artist ? I have a few plates "Pelican dub", "It's a sign". I know he worked with LIDJ inc. What more has he done ? Does he have another name ? Help please !

I have a 7 inch white label (copartic music) by Nightdoctor called "Music like dirt" and the B side is "Dirty dub" (late 70s?) Is this the same guy?

Did Nightdoctor do a tune called Menelik? or was it Menelik that did a tune called Night Doctor?

Yes, there's a 12" by Night Doctor called Romancin with the tune Menelik on the B side, Race Records label.

Nightdoctor was a west London band.

I think that the Nightdoctor that you're on about on race records is different from Nightdocter at the very beginning of this topic. The Nightdoctor from west london came to prominance with the tune Just Enough on race records circa 1980 and was championed by john peel (a late night dj on bbc radio one who would sprinkle his show with some reggae tunes). Race records by the way, was owned by the drummer in the specials/special aka.

The Menalik 12" dropped on the UK "Jah Observers" label. Wicked intrumental it was too. Not the same as the flip side of the DBC 12"
