looks alright to me. at first glance it is all niney produced, but a lot of the 'later' stuff he did for channel one and even some 80s and 90s chunes there, so quite a few not really essential songs included.

why not just buy niney stuff from heartbeat? theyve done a great job of packaging nineys stuff from everyone from d brown on down. no real reason to patronize orange street that i can see.

I just saw these pop up on my Amazon recs list the other day.

I normally wouldn't touch Orange Street releases with a ten foot pole (I'd rank them only just above Culture Press and Jamaican Recordings in terms of the expected quality of their releases) unless something really piqued my interest to the extent that I'd consider buying after doing some research first. In this case, I noticed that one of these comps features a Junior Byles song that I haven't heard yet...

they are like the vocals with the vocals removed. eg: not that much wild and crazy going on there. still pretty good though that is on esoldun and when you talk about boot you talk about esoldung. (actually its on crockodisk but thats another cover label for esoldung and the bandit twins webster shrowder and enzo hamilton).

I just picked up The Observer-Born In Jamaica and track 6 is Holiday-Ruddy Thomas -which is in my mind the same Every Day Is Just a Holiday produced by Joe Gibbs and engineered by Errol T bACK IN '78-so I wonder how come? was there a connection between Niney and Joe Gibbs or has the reissue just nicked it from somewhere?
