Africanites - Get up Mr. slow poe.
Can anyone tell me is this the track sampled in "Old Time Skanking" ? (video below)

The JB/Quincy track was hard enough to find, now I'm looking for the record they've sampled, I know the main hook is Prince Bustas take it easy, but I don't recognize any of the other's they've used, could one of them be Africanites - Get up Mr. slow poe ????

Yes it is. That youtube recut is ugly! Sorry, only my opinion, but the Canadian 7" is great!
You have to look for "African Ites" and not africanites, I remember rasdragon play it in a wicked canadian selection podcast that must be available somewhere on the web.

Thanks, I couldn' find a decent copy om the web, but I found what sounds like a youtube rip, I can see it's going to be hard to find a proper copy, but at least I've heard it now.

The JB Simbleton mix on youtube is early 90's, so pretty old, it's more based around, Prince busters "Take it easy".

When you look at it from that point of view it's not a bad mix, though I agree it does no justice whatsoever to to "get up mr slow poe".
Second question, does anyone know where the intro vocals come from, could they be Desmond Dekker maybe?
