if you haven't checked it out, please do!

http://www.upsetter-exchange.com/

"After some preparations we are proud to be back and we hope that we can help you out with the exchange of nice Lee "Scratch" Perry produced music. The purpose of this site is to exchange Lee Perry produced material wich cannot be found on regular releases. So please do not spoil our server with material which you can find at your local record shop. New to our service is a forum on which you can communicate with other Perry enthousiasts."

Dear Han,

It's true, we've had some hacker problems. The complete site was blasted after a few days. Now where on track again and I would like to invite you to check in again. It has become a lively forum and great Scratch tracks are shared.

I guess some people don't care because the money never comes to the right person anyway (= I mean the artist).

For example if the "Island" would sue this page it would only cause problems for themselves.

Sharing intellectual property in any form without the copyright holders concent is illegal, even if said property (music in this case) has been out of print (doesn't really matter if it's ever been in print) for decades. With that said, I can't imagine anyone ever getting in trouble for sharing rare Upsetter tunes. But legal? No.

Also it depends on which country you live in. Laws varies from country to country but copyright laws are pretty consistent wherever you're at.
