The CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation), Canada's national radio service, recently completed and aired a one-hour documentary on Jerry Brown's "Summer Records" label, and studio.

It includes very recent interviews with Jerry himself, Carol Brown, Willie Williams and Noel Ellis among others. While it was created for a national, mainstream audience in mind, there are plenty of bits of information for hardcore reggae fans as well, or anyone interested in the "do it yourself" ethos.

The show was broadcast a few times over the past few weeks, and is now archived for access via the internet.

Not for those that frequent this board, but keep in mind that this is targetted at a non-reggae audience....that means catering to people in remote areas of the country that may have never actually heard much reggae.

The story is definitely music-based, but in broader terms, it's also against someone's perseverence and eventual triumph against the odds.

Just be glad that you are multi-lingual, and don't need the help :^)
