I understand romantic as romanticism (the artistic movement of the 19th century) and the mythological centaur exists at least since ancient greece. The link is a romantic painting with a centaur (The eduaction of Aquiles from Quiran Centaur).

well...the rampaging centaur warrior is kind of funny in itself - coupled with 'Romantic' I would have thought incongruous rather than especially funny.
It probably has more of an impact with the actual disc in your shaking hands - 'what do they mean'?
