Which came first: Dillinger - CB 200 or Lord Laro - My Dread Mildred?

Both seem to have been released in 1976 using the same riddim.

first on this riddim came Gregory Isaacs - Sun Shines For me in 1975.
(a remake of the Bob Andy song)

dillinger sounds older to me. judged by recording sound
but I must say that Dillinger version is different. is a one drop but mildred is a rockers beat so it must have been some older version of the riddim

You would have to believe that Laro, being a calypsonian, is doing a take-off on CB200, which was a big hit.

Lovindeer carried on this tradition of making parodies of current chart hits in the 80's.

Thanks everyone.

I agree Dillinger's recording sounds older and several of Lord Laro's songs on the 'Yuh Have Fe Dred' album slant towards parody. And, Lord Laro is of course a calypsonian. :-)

Interesting, as there are two version of Greg's song, one being one drop and the other rockers.
