I noticed some comments on the site about this series being 'bogus' - can anyone explain further? I recently bought the vinyl LP 'Sensi Dub vol 5: Jah Shaka meets The Revolutionaries'. I thought it looked 'wrong' from the start, but bought it anyway, thinking maybe it was just naff artwork. Is it a complete dud thrown together by some hired hack musicians, or does it have any musical value? And is the shop obliged to give my money back?!

I`m not sure, I posted that thread because there was a compilation that I was interested in called Reggae Revive Classics. It was on a label called Original Music and I noticed some comments on Roots Archives where it refers to a couple of titles on that label as being dubious/bogus. One of the titles refered to a being bogus was the "Sensi Dub 5" if you search on the Original Music label and look at the titles you will see what I mean).

If you also look at the thread I posted, I was advised that the label belonged to Jah Whoosh who issued several albums through the label. As it happens, I purchased the Reggae Revive Classics and found it to be an absolutely fabulous release with great songs followed by their versions and the sound quality was superb.

Apologise`s, the Sensi Dub album referred to on the Original Music label is Sensi Dub 6 and not Sensi Dub 5. Dont know if this is part of the same series of albums but Sensi Dub 6 is a bogus album which has Glen Brown on its credits.

Yes, vol 6 certainly has same sleeve design as vol5. Mine has a 'lookalike' white label ... does anyone know if Shaka / Revolutionaries were involved in vol 5, or were their names just pasted on the front?

It was Vol 6 that was dodgy. Vol 5 on reflection is indeed a fine album featuring some classic rhythms, although I still think the label is trying too hard to look 'rare', but that's just artistic opinion - hope that clears things up!
