yhis is the only venue that brings reggae to the big apple, one show per month!

yes, we get shafted! sob's used to have lots of reggae. not anymore, though. it seems like bb king's is the place. at least we still have some good jazz clubs, i like jazz, too.

i've seen classics acts at sobs over the years, countless!. Now, they have a monday night reggae thing, no bands, only singers doing sound systems, and the line-up they host are pretty miserable.
Lots of sound systems though, check Brooklyn out!

only thing u have to be careful of his who is doing the bookings / promoter. have been to and heard nuff stories of lineups where 1/3 or 2/3rds do not show up for whatever ($$$) reason

there was a show a couple of weeks ago at amazura where charlie chaplin and u roy were suppose to perform, they never did. Instead Sugar Minott showed up.
Last year, same artists were no shows at the same venue.
Looking forward to go to the One Love Fest and Midnite at Sob's in November
