I heard that Mr. Johnny Clarke is coming to California and will be performing so i got very exited. Being of my favorites roots singers of all times I can't wait to watch the man once again. Seriously last time I watched his show he played songs like "blood dunza" and "Every Knee Shall Bow"!!! wow no mentioning the Roots Radics stuff such as "morning star" and "lift yourself up"!! can you believe it?? i found that really surprising because nobody I mean NOBODY play that kind of roots anymore nowadays. At least most of them don't. I believe he played such good songs due to being backed by band called "Roots Covenant". Every time I see a reggae artist playing along with them they play solid roots chunes(thanks for the selection Roots Covenant!). If any of you are of there(band members) I have two song request: "judgment is coming" from the album "I man Come Again" and "nuclear weapon" from the album "Yard Style" two of my favorites songs... roots to the bone! I would like to see he singing "babylon" also...

If anyone knows anything about his tour please let us all know.

Better ask on Blood&Fire there are some people from California offering soon to be made dubplate recordings from Clarke.. So I'm sure they know more..

he's playing dec. 5th in DownTown san diego... i along with alot of other crucial dj's will be spinning at that show. roots cov. has the set list made already. The set list will be strictly 80's killers... roots covenant always comes hard. suggest you check it out.

Hey SDroots are you sure? I live in SD as well but have not seeing any concert schedule for this weekend... do you know where's the show? 4th n B like last time? please let me know

I live in San Diego also and the show will be on the 5th at the Mainline Building @ 1676 main st. San Diego, CA 92113. I believe it is somewhere around barrio logan/naval station.

It's going to be a wicked concert, I live in down town SD just two blocks from the show this Saturday !

Are they going to play the same set and have the same DJ's at in Laguna & LA as SD? Will have SD have any special guests?

RBR and stranger will be opening up for them in SD.... they have rehearsed ALOT of songs so depending on the time they get at the dub club and laguna... either way all shows are gonna be wicked. No, i dont think they are going to have the same dj's. the mainline building doesn't have to be closed by 2 so they have alot of DJ's spinning in SD since we can go all night.

@jahwise... dont want to spoil anything but one of the songs you requested will be played.
