IMO this release is worthwile for inclusion of the 12"s with the DJ-versions, unless you already have the vinyl.

There are several CD(!) releases of Alvin Ranglin & Gregory Isaacs' collaboration.
For example 'Irie Irie Man' on Charly Records (1996 - RM 1537) from Germany. Probably the same (or almost the same) tracklist as Bellyman's CD.

Not for sure if those CDs are released as LP.

The "Number One" set is also available from Heartbeat records (CD and LP) in the U.S (along with three other Ranglin sets and a dub collection)....even if it's been deleted, it should be fairly easy to track down. (Downloads at itunes and amazon also.)

i have the heartbeat release. great sound quality, great compilation of tunes. some of my favorite gregory material. don't hesitate for one minute, you won't be disappointed. the extended dj mixes are awesome!

Sound quality and content is superb.

It is on the strength of having this CD that I posted this thread as "My Number One" contains several extended versions of tracks on this CD.

I have now ordered "My Number One" and cannot wait for it to arrive.

Rootsman, the "best of" CD you mention above is also from heartbeat, and also taken from masters. The "My number One" will add the really top notch DJ versions to many tracks. I particularly like the "My Number One" performance by Trinity, and "Border" with U Browm. You also get a few tracks not on the "best of" such as "Philistines" and "I AM Struggling" which are excellent.
