A nice and solid record. By far not their best work, but nothing wrong with it. Everything that came later was worse.

Coming from 1991, but omitting too much digital sounds. If you like their other recordings for Delroy Wright's Live & Learn label you will enjoy this one too.

Excellent album - showcase style.

"Heads of Government" is great. The Mighty Diamonds went "wrong" after the 80's. Jam session is an average 90's effort. A couple "OK" tunes, plenty of stuff you'll only listen tp once or twice...My opinion...who else's?...

Hans i see that is the original press of Heads Of Govt. The one available on CD from EB's seems to be all vocals with extra tracks on Penthouse from memory.

The Heads of Government set in its original vinyl form is great inna showcase style. And it comes from way before the Jam Session album, around 1982.
The CD looks like a hotchpotch of songs coming from different eras.

Yes it does look like that Bellyman.I took notice of it after reading in the pocket sized The Rough Guide:Reggae 100 Essential CDs by Steve Barrow & Peter Dalton.
They chose it after Go Seek Your Rights aka Right Time on Virgin as their "We almost choose" Heads of Government Penthouse 1996.
The Showcase version does look pretty good.
