The original is the Soul Proff 7" from 1972 asked by Appie.
That one was produced by K.C.White himself.

Big Youth's 'Screaming Traget' was recorded in 1973 using a mix of that 7" and produced by Gussie Clarke.

The version that appears on the 'Holy Ground' compilation is a completely new recording of that song under production of Alvin Ranglin/GG. It has different piano and guitar sounds to the original one.

Don't know what version Virgin used for their compilation but I would suspect it being the GG version.

Well That Soul Prof Release is not the version of big youth because i have listen to a soul proff release and that sound verry diftint than the other its antoher cut of no no no. i think Because The SoulProff Release of K.C sings little bit more screamy...and in screaming target k.c white sing more fluwent(cleaner and nicer) and the drums sounds tighter and has other drum patrens

i hope somebodey can help me out of that mystery
because the gg version and the soul proff version and the chapions sounds realese is the same version
