What is the worst reggae album you've ever listened to? In your posts, explain why the album is so bad.

The worst reggae album i've ever heard is Ringo's 'Two Coxman'. Like most 'slack' albums it goes over the top with sex references and comes across as very immature.

Yellowman - A Very Yellow Christmas

That release is just horrible.

Anything Slack / Sexual / Boasting

I think when a singer or DJ has to resort to these type of lyrics its because they haven`t got anything intelligent to say.

But I guess economics of the day demanded that putting something sh!t on record as better than not making a record at all.

And after all there is always someone willing to make a market for this type of crap. Why it did I don`t know, but then theres no accounting for taste :D

Mortie Butler - Love Lost and Found (Wackies/Tachyon 1988 ) John Lennon and Bob Marley covers in a very cheap sounding synthesizer style...

I think this is pretty bad (in the strictest sense). None of the songs sounds like anything else than snare drums and some bass. Don't get me wrong, I really can enjoy heavily dubbed music, but this albums sounds like something Tubby shat out 10 in the morning. No Tubby soul or nothing, stay away!

Supposedly, although I notice RA has recently added a note/comment stating it's a "non reggae album". It's definitely not true roots and nowhere near a typical Bunny album but...
I'm pretty sure it was released as a reggae album just with very weak production or maybe a crossover type lp?
Garbage either way and definitely one to pass on. I seem to remember even the roots type titles or familiar songs like 'Soul Rocking Party' & 'Simmer Down' to be unbearable.

I don't think that I've ever bought a reggae album that I've listened to and thought 'this is complete and utter crap' but I did buy Scientist & Trinity - Clash on CD not so long back and found it so badly mastered as to be virtually unlistenable...

Hang on. I'd forgotten about Scientist - At The Controls Of Dub. Completely fake release and total garbage too.
