Gold anyone know the artist who recorded a few songs with Don Carlos and including in the record "seven days a week (1998)" which is the last thing I have understand this album grabo.In Don Carlos album(7 Days A Week)references that Gold had an accident (a robbery) and was in serious but this had been in 1998 and then I have no record of him.If someone knows something I will thanks.Long life life Roots Reggae.DJ VROOTS

did not check the link (fed up with this "see up there" talks, sometimes ) but Gold got shot in Kingston years ago and lost one arm. Don Carlos hardly speaks about him though he's been recording a lot with him (Gold being somehow kept in Carlos' shadow for some reason).

Gold must be or was the best friend of Don carlos, most of his album was made with him in backin' vocals. sometimes he also sing, you can hear him on lead vocals in the don carlos 's albums "ghetto living, plantation, ease up, 7 days a week)he also appears in the front or back covers of different album made by D. Carlos

They actually were a duo until some point in time, as he toured with hims also. The act was "Don Carlos & Gold", but that at some point became just "Don Carlos".

It's too bad about him losing an arm.

There's a hilarious interview with Don Carlos & Gold in one of the earliest Small Axe. It includes Gold doing bird noises as secret callings for Don Carlos to come forward.

Gold appears in the Deep Roots documentary, he's one of the guys hanging around in Tubby's studio when someone - may even be him, can't recall - breaks out the chalice to much amusement.
