It's Winston Hewitt, recorded a bunch of Lp and 7's here in Toronto where he lived for a while. His music is a mix of reggae and soul...not positive if he was Jamaican...didn't sing calypso so yo know he ain't Trini...could be from BArbados.

Winston Hewitt is 100% Jamaican, and was a member of The Pioneers. He moved to Toronto some 35 years ago, around the same time as the Crooks brothers, and still lives here.
He has produced many local reggae acts, and is the founder and producer of the annual Canadian Reggae Music Awards. His music is indeed reggae, but more of the sentimental kind (i.e. not what people around here call "Roots"). He has done a lot over the years for the Canadian reggae music scene, and is very well known locally.
@Jordandance
Their is a group called "The Dynamics", who had a rock-steady hit with "My Friends" in 1968. Their is also a studio group called "Winston & Dynamites", which was a studio group led by keyboardist Winston Wright. Where on the internet did you read that Winston Hewitt led a group called "Winston & The Dynamics"? There may be some confusion here, as there are many "Winstons" in Jamaican music.

Nowhere on the internet did i read that, I don't get my information from the internet. I've counted 4 7's so far where his group is called as such.
