i' m a japanese vinyl collector,masato.
please teach me !!!

i found a vinyl on the subject in the net,
and wondering if it's original issue or not.

i found at the foreign website,
so i can only ask about the vinyl in email.

the seller tell me
it has the same jacket as reissued one,
and pressed in USA.

i didn't know
that carlton and the shoes' "this heart of mine"
has been pressed in usa ,
whether it is original or reissued.

please tell me how i can tell it original or not.

It's definitely a re-issue. All their original work was issued first in Jamaica in the late 60s and early 70s.

'This Heart of Mine' was first and originally released in 1980 in USA on Quality Records, an outlet that Carlton Manning owned and still owns.
Back then simply no distributor in Jamaica was found so this record was taken to New York by Carlton Manning to be pressed and distributed from there.
Only mid-90s saw a release as jamaican pressing when Mr. Manning revived the Quality Label to put out the 'Sweet feeling' album.
If you can get hold of a copy from the 1980-release from N.Y. you will have a wellpressed original of a lovely recording.
