i listen to it all year long, like most of you. but i also like other music. the strange thing is i noticed that during summer, i tend to listen to the other musics just as much, while winters tend to be 99% dubs/dj/reggae.
when i see non-reggae addicts out and about, the reggae seems to come on in spring, for example, like when the local college girl starts putting on a sun dress and playing bob's "legend." or the frat boy going beyond and playing peter tosh. who knows what she'd listen to during winter.
anyone else notice this phenomenon? does warm weather = reggae for some people?
do sales of bmw records peak in may?

I lived in Japan from 88 to 2000 and it was very clear that Reggae was a Summer sound then and it still is now
BUT these days Reggae ( esp. Dancehall ) is massive in Japan so it has become more of an all year round thing.
