You'll Get Your Pay a Studio One side by Linton Cooper, is officially the most miserable sounding record ever made, swiftly followed by junior Ainsworth's Upsetter masterpiece Thanks & Praise. Wondrous records though!

How about "So It Goes" by Joe Higgs? Beautiful, but oh so so sad....

I always find interesting songs that have very cheery lyrics, but are set written in a minor key.

A couple of examples of these are "Sun Is Shining" - (Marley), and "Let's Get Together" (Johnny & The Attractions / Tetrack).

I can't recall the title but I heard a great song where the singer recalls being an orphan and sleeping on the beach and begging for food as a youth. What was the name now again... I've got a teflon-brain it seems :/

Rambo yuh rambo, ruff seh yuh ruff! You're spot on! Thanks, mate. :)

Been trying to remember the name for the longest time! The lyrics went a bit different than I remembered them though. But it's a depressing matter he covers on it indeed.
