Are they appearing in the movie?

I remember Gibbs, the Prince and Duke, but what scene does Alton appear in? I think at the time Harder They Come was filmed, Alton was living in Canada...

Gibbs, Reid & Ellis in "The Harder They Come"? I don't recall them, at what points of the movie? I thought it was Leslie Kong in the scene at Dynamics Studio, not Gibbs. Gonna, have to rent this one, it's been years since I have seen it.

Sleeper, Ellis was in Toronto until 1971, so it's conceivable from a time-line point of view. We did a couple of pretty detailed interviews with him in the early 80s' when he returned for some shows, and he didn't mention being in THTC. Being a "stunt double" in a classic movie like that one would certainly be worthy of mentioning.

Gibbs is in a scene where Ivan is hustling his record at a shop and Gibbs says something like "Independent? How you gonna supply me?"

Reid is seen briefly in a phone conversation with Detective Ray Jones - a sleepy looking man behind a desk saying "They are conducting a series of raids..."

Prince Buster is the DJ who says "Sit tight and listen keenly for a brand new musical biscuit from the man call Ivan..."

Thanks, I will watch again. I remember Toots also being in a scene as well at some point. And I will watch especially closely for Ellis on top of a flaming car, or crashing through a window (as a stunt double........).
