augustus pablo live in tokio OR LIVE OUTSIDE JAMAICA????

I reed an article appear on a french magazine about THE MIGTHY AUGUSTUS PABLO in that article says about (in theory) mr pablo was extremely shy person and a fear to fly or use airplanes, anybody knows if this is true? also how many tours outside jamaica he did? or if mr pablo plays in jamaica as a artist regulary?
i got the cd live in tokio and he whisper something at the beginning of the show i am so sure that this show soon is gonna be released as dvd in japan they used to film and record all the shows CROSS FINGERS

What you have heard is true, Augustus Pablo didn't make that much live appearances, neither in Jamaica nor anywhere else. Due to his bad health and shy persona he only started doing live concerts in the second half of the 1980's, even in Jamaica. He travelled to Japan rather frequently and took part in the 'Japan Splash' concerts.
There are some unofficial recordings of these concerts doing their rounds.

i also have that cd in tokyo and it would be great if it was released on dvd, cross fingers hehe if you got any more information please post it here... cheers

Japansplash '86 was released on VHS, Tenor Saw, Sister Carol, Augustus Pablo, Frankie Paul and Sugar Minott backed by the Soul Syndicate augmented by a horns section featuring Johnny Dizzy Moore, great stuff!
