how is this pressure sounds release that features derrick harriot's rootsy productions? i really like him as a vocalist, though i haven't heard much of his productions.

This CD has some great tunes particularly Big Youth "Cool Breeze" and Scotty "Draw Your Breaks" both over the "Stop That Train" rhythm. The vocal by Derrick Harriot on the 12" of "Slave" is wicked. Finally, the two tunes by Bongo Herman, Les and Bunny are pure roots. Overall, a very good CD with some great tunes.

hi there
thank you very much for this review of derrick harriott, one of the unsung heroes of jamaican musical productions.seldom is he related to when speaking about those who yielded gems as far as the music is concerned.i have really enjoyed(and am still doing)listening to "a place called jamaica"with "do i worry"scotty's cover which drives me still crazy.i love scootty's way of toasting which i find very iooriginal.i would be very glad to listen to the original cut"do i worry"and to this selection"riding the roots chariot"
